Timur Lang

*Timur Lang and Iran*
Although Amir Timur Gurkani was a Muslim, his Mongol nature always dominated his behavior. According to historians, he was the most ruthless person of his time, and if thousands of people were beheaded in front of him, he would not have made the slightest dent in his character.
Timur was a warrior from the city of Kesh in Transoxiana, and soon, by destroying his reputation, he was able to conquer all of Transoxiana and attack Iran during three periods. His attacks on Iran began from 782 AH to 795.
Timur was well aware of the situation in Iran and the political fragmentation of the Shabankara era, and this great weakness also made him victorious. In fact, Timur's conquests should be considered a type of armed plunder and plunder. He did this under any pretext, whether to defend the Islamic law, punish the Rafids, or suppress rebels in all parts of Iran.
His attacks left no trace except destruction. Among these attacks are the construction of several minarets from the 70,000 dead in Isfahan, the massacre of the people of Borujerd, the mass throwing of Khorramabad warriors from a cliff into a valley, the creation of slave caravans, both Christian and Muslim, and their sale in any way. Timur ultimately spent all the gold and booty he had gained on the development of the capital of Samarkand, and even took a large number of artists and scientists with him to Samarkand, and strangely enough, he had many plans for artistic and cultural developments in this city.
